The project involved the replacement of approximately 40m of existing public stormwater pipeline along a busy arterial road in New Windsor, Auckland. The existing stormwater pipe was replaced with 225mm Class 4 RCRRJ concrete pipe.
The works were carried out in a constrained area with a large power cable and fibre services running parallel above the existing stormwater pipeline. Careful excavation, service protection and coordination were required throughout the replacement works. Vector personnel were on standby for approximately two weeks during the works to ensure the safe management of the existing power infrastructure.
The project also required careful traffic management and coordination due to the high-volume road environment. All works were completed in accordance with the relevant Auckland Council and infrastructure requirements.
