Volcanic Rock Conditions

The project was located within the Mt Eden volcanic rock zone, with significant rock encountered along the proposed wastewater alignment and at new manhole locations. Rock breaking was required before excavation and pipe installation could proceed.

Complex Underground Services

Multiple existing underground services crossed and ran alongside the existing sewer alignment. Careful excavation and service coordination were required to protect existing infrastructure while installing the new wastewater network.

Existing Public Sewer Relay

Outside the development boundary, sections of the existing public sewer infrastructure required relaying. The works had to be carefully coordinated with the existing network and the new wastewater infrastructure.

Neighbouring Property Connections

Several neighbouring properties had existing wastewater connections that needed to be correctly connected to the new public wastewater system. This required careful planning and coordination throughout the construction process.

Despite the challenging volcanic ground conditions, complex underground services and the need to maintain and connect existing wastewater infrastructure, C&B Drainage successfully completed the public stormwater and wastewater works for the development.

The project demonstrated our ability to manage challenging ground conditions, rock excavation, existing services and complex wastewater infrastructure connections in a residential development environment.
