C&B Drainage Contracting Ltd completed a combination of public and private stormwater and wastewater drainage works for this steep-site residential development. The public stormwater scope included approximately 70m of 225mm PE SDR11 pipe installed by directional drilling outside the site boundary. Within the site, approximately 36m of 180mm PE SDR11 pipe was installed by directional drilling for both stormwater and wastewater, including three 100mm electrofusion-welded saddle connections for each service.
The works were carried out in very soft ground conditions with a steep site profile and restricted working space. Ongoing geotechnical monitoring of neighbouring properties was maintained throughout the works, requiring careful planning, drilling control and coordination to safely complete the installation.
